We all have special places in this world where something significant happened in our lives or where beauty of the land simply quieted our busy minds. Sometimes, that place is too far to visit frequently, and sadly, sometimes that place has changed and is no longer what we remember. Capturing the essence and emotion of place with a custom landscape painting is one way to honor where we have been. Using classic oil painting techniques with a contemporary impressionistic twist, I'll create an original painting that tells your story. Whether it's a favorite vacation spot or a place of personal significance, I'm committed to creating a piece that you will love. I even guarantee that. If you don't love it in the end, you should not be obligated to buy it!
PRICING STRUCTURE
The minimum base price for commissioned landscape painting is $4/square inch. (Note this price is for landscape paintings. See portrait page for those prices.)
The minimum order for a custom painting to be shipped is $1600 before tax and shipping.

The minimum order for local pick-up is $500.
Individual quotes will be given for more complex subject matter - such as human portraits.

STARTING YOUR CUSTOM WORK
How do I start the custom painting process?

Contact me, below, or email me one or more photos. Include your size preference or your budget. Tell me what you like about the photo visually, and also some adjectives that describe how you felt in that moment.

I will get back to you with 2-3 possible composition options and other notes.

Once size and reference design is selected, you will receive a price quote for the painting, including sales tax as well as estimated shipping cost and a time estimate.

I keep you apprised of the progress of the painting throughout, and will send you photos and a video from different angles of your finished work for your approval.

Once approved, you can pay in full.

If you don’t love it, I will either modify to your satisfaction or you are free to walk away. (This hasn't happened yet- but I want you to know it's an option! )

Your artwork is carefully packed in a box designed for shipping fine art paintings, and shipped as soon as possible after payment is received.

Once your painting arrives, you will love it or send it back within 2 weeks for a refund minus shipping costs both directions.

What About Framing?
Your masterpiece is painted on your choice of support from a thick-edged canvas with painted sides that doesn't need a frame to a board or flat canvas that you can take to your favorite local framer.
