I loved the way that the foreground in the shadows looked mystical and softened compared to the dramatic angular shapes of golden light on the mountain. This view is from south of the Mountain, so it might not look as familiar if you are used to seeing Rainier from the Seattle area.
The title speaks to a scene which is unimpressed by the little comings and goings of humankind.
Since I used a clear gesso on the natural wood, the pauses between brushstrokes flash that warm wood color here and there.
