This painting is nearly as tall as I am. It's a scene from Mowich Lake in Mt. Rainier National Park.
We visited last summer for the first time.  I'm so glad we did, because the century-old bridge into this part of the park has been shut down and that entrance to the park is closed indefinitely. I was drawn to the contrast of the water in shadow and the water reflecting the sky. It's as if the lake is saying- Here's a little peek at what awaits you in this water. Sometimes in life, too, we can see more in the shadows than we can in bright sunlight.
